We are a
Northwest-based Excess and Surplus Lines broker and Lloyd’s
correspondent. Headquartered in Seattle,
Washington, we have branches in
California,
Minnesota,
Missouri, and
Oregon. Independently owned and operated, we handle accounts
geographically located throughout the United States and
Canada.
Our
company has three departments to handle diverse
coverage needs: Casualty,
Property, and
Executive Liability. In
addition to brokerage, we
also offer
AMW Underwriting to
create custom solutions for your clients. Our brokers have
broad market access, specific expertise, and product knowledge. They know the rates, policy forms and
major players for particular product lines.
We are not generalists but
focus on placing unique or difficult coverage lines such as Liquor
Liability, D&O, EPLI, Professional Liability, and all types of Property and
Casualty accounts.
Company History
In February 1995 three industry veterans with
diverse backgrounds and a common vision formed
Alexander, Morford & Woo, Inc. (AMW). The venture
brought together the talents of
Sam Alexander, an expert in casualty brokerage
lines;
Rick Morford, a leading specialist in Director's &
Officer's and Executive Liability coverages; and
Larry Woo, an authority on difficult and unusual
property placements. With over 100 years of
combined insurance experience, the company's founders
share guiding principles that continue to differentiate
the firm in the insurance industry.
