Rick Morford

Director of Business Development

Co-founder of the company and former manager of the Executive Liability Department, Rick Morford is Alexander, Morford & Woo, Inc.’s Director of Business Development.  In addition to his directorial duties, Rick continues to specialize in the analysis, design, and placement of Directors' & Officers' (D&O) Liability Insurance and other Executive Liability products.

A veteran of the insurance industry since 1980, Rick works closely with retail agents and their corporate clients, assessing probable claim exposures, constructing financial protection programs, and accessing all viable markets to offer the most attractive proposal in the ever-changing insurance marketplace.  Under Rick’s tutelage, Alexander, Morford & Woo, Inc.’s Executive Liability Department placed D&O coverage for over 100 public companies, the majority of which the firm assisted as private companies and throughout the IPO process.

Rick's background includes experience as an underwriter, a retail broker and a wholesaler, handling the insurance programs for commercial and financial institutions.  Specifically, he focused his attentions in placing D&O, Fiduciary, Kidnap & Ransom, Errors & Omissions, and Crime insurance coverages.  Additionally, he has had experience handling complex securities claims as both broker and as expert witness.

Rick is past co-chairman of the Professional Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS) Northwest Chapter and past President of the Surety Association of Oregon.  Rick graduated from Oregon State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration
