Sam Alexander
Director of Company Operations
Sam Alexander is Director of Company Operations and one of the three co-founders of Alexander, Morford & Woo, Inc. In addition to his executive duties, Sam managed the Casualty Department from its inception until January 2002. His 40+ years of industry experience includes working as excess & surplus lines underwriter, broker, facultative reinsurance intermediary, Lloyds correspondent, surplus line broker, and insurance consultant. As an authority on a number of casualty and industry related subjects he has testified as expert witness regarding standard of care in more than 20 lawsuits, in addition to acting as mediator in reinsurance coverage disputes. Sam has lectured on numerous insurance industry and coverage issues. He currently serves as vice president and director for the Washington Surplus Line Association.Sam graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1967. He was a member of the 1970 Guinness World Recordand U.S. National Champion Jerry Bird’s All Star sky diving team and a single engine pilot (retired). He currently enjoys horseback riding, bicycling, downhill skiing and spending time with his kids. His goal is to never retire.
